Design challenge for use of colour in gardens

 

Brief

Doug and Colin have just bought a home in their dream location. It’s a small block and they have money left over to make the back garden something special.

  • Outdoor dining for 8 people

  • A water feature

  • They like asymmetry

  • Informal but balanced with a strong theme

  • Small Dog

  • Some Turf

  • Small shed for garden maintenance stuff

  • Plenty of planted areas

  • You may choose which openings are doors and windows.

Colour Palette (choose 1 style)

  • Harmonious and lush with a natural feel in the hardscapes

  • Vibrant and chaotic

  • Moody and cold

  • Moody and warm

  • Monochromatic

Outputs

  • Board of Inspirational images that captures the colour scheme you are trying to

  • At least 4 schematic sketches

  • A coloured final schematic sketch
