Specifying

Questions to think about

  • What height should it sit above the surface? Should it be flush with adjacent surfaces?

  • Should it stick out of the ground as it is decorative?

  • How will you mow up to it if turf?

  • Will mulch spill over it or get kicked over by birds?

  • At what intervals do stakes need to be if necessary, and what should they be made of?

  • How deep should it be laid to stop turf going underneath?

  • Do any coatings need to be applied?

  • Is there a colour choice to make?
